Partnership with the Consumer Council for Water

Turn2us has partnered with the Consumer Council for Water (CCWater) to provide a Benefits Calculator and Grants Search tool to help struggling water customers in England and Wales identify ways to bolster their income.

The partnership forms part of a wider effort by the independent water watchdog to ensure the one in eight water customers who say their water bill is not affordable receive the help they need before sinking into debt. (1)

Commenting on the new collaboration Simon Hopkins, Turn2us Chief Executive, said: “This is an important partnership with CCWater - one which I hope will ensure those struggling with their water bills get access to all the help available to them. Our recent research shows that the resources which are being put in place by essential service providers isn’t always well known and we really hope that this new arrangement will improve that situation. We are delighted to be working with CCWater on this.

“Our Benefits Calculator can help households quickly identify whether they are entitled to a wide range of means-tested benefits, including Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support and Working Tax Credit. Our Grants Search tool references over 3,000 charitable funds, including those set up by water companies, that might be able to give households a grant and other practical help.”
