Turn2us wins a Guardian Public Service Award

Share

You may have already seen that Turn2us won the Guardian’s 2019 Digital Innovation Award, but we want to tell you again. This award is a true highlight for the volunteering team and the whole of Turn2us this year.

The Guardian hosted the award giving ceremony in central London. Debby, Head of Engagement and Lauren, Volunteering Projects Coordinator were there to collect the award in style.

Turn2us won the award for Connect, an innovative project involving volunteers that provide practical information and emotional support to people claiming Universal Credit. The app was built in partnership with Reason Digital. It is an online platform that connects volunteers with users of the service in a confidential and easy to use way. Volunteers have connected with over 200 people since March this year.

We hope 2020 brings more awards and many more Connect volunteers our way!
