Full Digital Service Area

A full digital service area is sometimes called a “full service area” or a “digital service area”. 

A full digital service area is an area where everyone who makes a new claim for any of the following benefits, has to claim Universal Credit online instead.  Universal Credit is replacing these benefits:

• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
• Income-related Employment & Support Allowance
• Income Support
• Working Tax Credit
• Child Tax Credit
• Housing Benefit

Universal Credit full digital service has gradually been rolled out across the country, and now all areas have become full digital service areas.
